Eastern Shawnee Companies, LLC (ESC), is pleased to announce the recent hire of Janel Bailey, who joins the firm as Senior Proposal Manager. Her primary responsibility will be leading the proposal development process for new business opportunities, typically in response to requests for proposals, requests for quotes, and other solicitations from potential clients.
Janel’s hire comes on the heels of a handful of significant contract wins and the attainment of the 8(a) certification for Eastern Shawnee Professional Services, an ESC firm, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s trajectory. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring Janel on board,” said Kerry Patterson, Director of Marketing and Communications. “Janel’s extensive experience, particularly with tribally owned 8(a) companies, is an invaluable asset to the Eastern Shawnee Companies.”
For more than 20 years, Janel has contributed to the revenue growth of a variety of companies, both large and small. Grounded by an early success in marketing, Janel’s career background quickly evolved to include operations management, including processes and systems development, business planning, budgeting, reporting, forecasting, team management, hiring and training. She has an exceptional understanding of FAR regulations, government contract types and RFP requirements, particularly as they relate to tribally-owned and 8(a) certified companies. She is proficient in Shipley proposal methodology, an expert in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro DC), and astute in computer technologies, cross integrations and industry-standard software used for document sharing, Client Relationship Management (CRM) and Data Asset Management (DAM).
